The Rods travelled the short distance to Stocksbridge to play in a 10's tournament. Leaving Stanley in filthy weather it didn't get much better on the moors above Stocksbridge.
Taking part in the 2nd game against Sheffield Oaks the weather took a turn for the worse and was abandoned just after the start of the 2nd half. Soon after the tournament was abandoned. Making their debuts for the Rods was Glenn Bakewell and Josh Anderson.
The lads enjoyed a couple of warming pints in Stockbridge's clubhouse as a team.
