At long last the defibrillator is available for everyone, including the general community, to use.
Wakefield Owls have very generously donated the defibrillator and Rodillians have provided the extarnal cabinet and power supply.
This is a great step forward in providing a facility that we hope never needs to be used. It is becoming an essential requirement as we become aware of more and more cases where the access to a defibrillator has saved lives.
The defibrillator is registered with Yorkshire Ambulance Service and access is achieved by dialling 999 or 111 and they will provide the access code and talk the individual on how to use it albeit it does have its own easy to follow process.
As noted above this is available for use by the community at large and the YAS have been advised of the code to the gate to ensure that access is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
